
Jennifer was always excited about becoming an all-purpose superstar. She was a fan of many different styles of music at a young age, such as Afro-Caribbean music styles like salsa, merengue, and bachata. Later on, as an adult her most loved genres were popular pop, R&B as well as hip-hop. She loved music but was equally fascinated by the cinema industry. West Side Story (1961), Rita Moreno's musical that greatly influenced her is also her biggest source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Aside from being a budding performer Jennifer had also been a Catholic schoolgirl, attending eight years in a Catholic elementary school called Holy Family which was located at The Bronx, before graduating at an all-girls pre-school, Preston High School after four years. Jennifer was an accomplished athlete who competed in track and fields and tennis at school was also an outstanding student. In Castle Hill, she spent her early years in a two-story house. When she was 18, Jennifer moved out of her parent's house. Lopez was a lawyer during that time. She also attended evening dance classes.
